Name My Next Book: Sugar Shock’s Successor & Get Gifts

Bookcover

Will you help me name my new book? I'd be thrilled and grateful if you would contribute some ideas — you'll even get gifts for being so nice.

So what's this about? Well, as I shared here previously, I'm now writing and researching my my next book, the follow-up book to my first book Sugar Shock.

This new book will provide a step-by-step, six-week program to help you escape from sugar shock and to get a sweeter life.

Sugar Shock's successor –  which will be published by Hay House, the international leader in self-help and transformational publishing — is designed to help you if you're a sugar addict of any weight (overweight, obese or even slim).

Let's face it, kicking sugar can be challenging even though you know that it will help you to lose weight, get more energy, boost your libido, prevent or reverse diabetes and live longer.

That's why, in my follow-up book to Sugar Shock, you’ll get valuable tools and tips that will make letting go of your sugar addiction simple – and even fun. For instance:

  • You’ll get many tried-and-true tactics — ones I created, starting in 1998, when I kicked sugar on doctor's orders and ones recommended by dozens of other health experts. You'll also benefit from my 12 years of coaching or connecting with sugar addicts around the world. (Yes, 2010 year marks a dozen years of helping people to achieve sugar liberation.)
  • You'll undertake simple, interactive adventurcises™ (my word for adventurous exercises), which will drive you to major self-discoveries and changes.
  • You’ll discover several dozen ways to stomp out your sugar cravings.
  • You’ll learn what sugar color code you are. (Yes, we're all different in our relationship with sweets, and this knowledge will empower you to make the right choices for you.)
  • You’ll detox gradually so that your body, mind and even soul won’t go into shock as you move away from your sugar obsessions.
  • You’ll get healthy meal plans and tasty recipes from a recognized nutritionist and exercise physiologist.
  • You’ll learn to Enjoy a Sweeter Life Without Refined Sweets™.
  • And much more.

CartoonConnie Please Help Us to Name My New Book

Now that you have a flavor for what this book will offer, would you be kind enough to share ideas for what I should call the follow-up to Sugar Shock?

We've already received a number of your suggestions, but we'd love to get more ideas first. My Hay House editor and I will decide early next week. What is a title — and subtitle — that would entice you to buy this follow-up book to Sugar Shock?

If we I pick your title, you'll get several gifts.

What you win: You’ll get one hour of complimentary coaching from me ($150 value); complimentary admission to an audio replay of my Break Free of Your Sugar Addiction in 6 Weeks program ($177 value but $97 until July 30), which includes access to a private website (http://www.BreakFreeWithConnie.com); and an advance copy of my new book, the follow-up to Sugar Shock. (Not sure yet of the price.)

That's not all. You'll also get my profound gratitude, mention on the Acknowledgments page of the book; and a formal thank you here, on this Sugar Shock Blog.

Even if we don't pick your title, you'll still get a gift from me. I will host a free teleseminar just for people who've contributed title ideas. In the program, you can ask me questions, get tips to break free and more.

Please share your great ideas for book titles now. What should my follow-up book to Sugar Shock be called? And, in your opinion, what is the best subtitle? Please submit your ideas now.

Share ideas in one of two places:

I'd be grateful if you'd help me Name My Next Book. Again, just share your ideas for here or on Facebook.

Please share your ideas by Tuesday at 2 pm Eastern.

  1. Connie, I have several ideas. I hope you find one of them a winner …
Sugar, meet “Eager,” “Wiser” and “Vigor”
If you love sugar, set it free
Sugar came, we were in awe, we kicked as_!
Sugar came, we were in awe, we passed!
Sugar came, we awed – but now what a contrast!
Sugar – Sleeping with the Enemy
Get your life back – how sugar is holding you back
    The Mysterious, Mind-Boggling, Found-in-the-Strangest-Places Ingredient – Sugar
    Life’s Anti-Ingredient
    Sugar – You Can(e) Conquer!

  2. Jim, what amazing ideas! Thank you very much for sharing. These are fabulous phrases, even if not book titles. This is such a hoot: “Sugar – You Can(e) Conquer!” And love this that you sent later: “Sugar – Sleeping with the Enemy.”

  3. “Sugar Free” “Successfully Becoming Sugar Free” “Kicking the Sugar Habit” “The Best Things in Life Aren’t Sweet”
I’ll keep brainstorming since this is so much fun! Congrats on the new book and I’m definitely going to pick it up!

  4. How about ‘sugar free life’ or ‘sugar no more’ or ‘sugar survival’ or ‘slave no more to sugar’ or ‘leave your sugar addiction in your past’

  5. Here’s another idea Connie, I suggest “Sugar Detox” for the title of your next book.
I’ve been mostly sugar free/low carb since I became a Type 2 diabetic, with exceptions for birthdays, weddings, other celebrations. That puts my refined sugar intake down to once every 3-4 weeks or less, and we’re talking the equivalent of ONE piece of wedding/birthday/Christmas cake eaten with a full meal to minimize my body’s insulin output. Also, I don’t drink any juices or sugary drinks, maybe wine 3 times a year, usually at celebrations. I don’t eat excessively sugary fruit, either, or simple carbs.

Good for you, Rhonda! Thanks for sharing.

  6. Here’s another suggestion from Facebook friend Tanya Lily-Reid” Hi Connie, I’ve been thinking about this for awhile. I’ve settled on “The Escape Plan: A Step by Step Guide to Stop Sugar Shock Before It Stops You.” …I love it but then again it’s not my book. And FYI…I’ve mapped out my book and I’ll be …ready to start interviewing/researching in just a few weeks (waiting until my youngest is back in school so I can have a little more peace and quiet). You’ve been an inspiration to me to bring this project to life. Thank you for being you and for the wonderful source of positive energy you have been for me…. Thanks, Tanya! Appreciate the idea!

  7. My Facebook friend Kathleen Hassan offered: “Connie – how about “Sickly Sweet”?? What do I win?? Good luck and congratulations “sweetie”!!!”

Here’s a suggestion emailed from Dan in Everett, Washington. “Good Evening, Couldn’t find a place to enter the contest, so I am writing with my great idea. People love sweets because of the sweet taste, but the title of your next book should be ‘Just How Sweet is it’ Thank You. Dan” What an intriguing suggestion, Dan! Thanks so much for sharing. Connie
