Obese People Could Benefit From Getting More Fiber, Study Says

According to a new study from University of Texas researchers, dietary fiber could play a key role in why people are or are not obese.

NutraIngredients.com reported:

“Obviously, no magic formula exists for weight loss, but our results indicated that a diet containing more than average amounts of fiber, complex carbohydrate, and fruit was associated with normal body fat stores and standard weight for height,” wrote lead author Jaimie Davis in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association.

It’s always fascinating when new studies conclude what we already know.

This study just confirms the importance of eating lots of high-quality carbs such as fruits and vegetables and eliminating those culprit carbs.
