Spend Money on Relief Rather Than Cookies

Vanessa Sands from Low Carb Energy has the right idea!

She comments here: "Think you can’t afford to give? Here’s an idea: Take the money you spend (or *used* to spend) on the coffee break doughnut, the mid-afternoon vending machine raid, the evening bowl of ice cream and the piles of sugary junk in between and donate it instead. Every little bit helps…"

Wanted to make sure you caught her insightful remarks.

So if you’re reluctant to give… just take the money you would have wasted on a couple of cans of soda, a bag of cookies, a candy bar or two, some packets of chewing gum, or some fiber-stripped chips and crackers and happily fork over (pun intended) some of it to your favorite charity. (See my long list of links to various charitable groups.)

Remember, if you’re on dry land you have it good. It’s our duty to help those weary, scared hurricane-overcome survivors.
