Do You Crave Sugar? Or a Life that’s Sweeterlicious?

Invitation from Connie. Join the conversation. What does sweeterlicious mean to you?
As you may already know, most sugaraholics or carb junkies—the millions battling sugar shock—are leading “lives of quiet desperation” as Henry David Thoreau put it years ago.
Woo Hoo!As we enter a new year, I invite you to realize: Are you, like mitllions, now enduring a life of quiet sugar desperation because of your over-consumption of what I call culprit carbs?
Are you also enduring a life filled with persistent depression and overwhelming anxiety, both of which can be triggered by eating too many sweets and refined carbs?
Thankfully, in 1998, I left behind my sugar-shock gloom by quitting sweets and quickie carbs on doctor’s orders due to my many health woes.
Ever since letting go of sweets 15-plus years ago, it’s been an honor and pleasure to help sugar addicts and carb addicts release their over-attachment to dangerous sweets and such rapidly processed carbohydrates as chips, popcorn, and French fries,
Sure enough, as people have been letting go of their sugar or carb addiction, their dreary, dismal, bleak feelings disappear, too. What a joy to witness!
With the new year here, I invite you to consider turning your back on these dangerous carbs, which make you fat, sluggish, and unhealthy.
When you say “No, thank you” to these quickie carbs, you’ll get more sweetness, juiciness, or joy into your life.
In other words, when you say “Yes, please” to real, live, organic foods, you”re paving the way to get a life that’s sweeterlicious. By that I mean sweeter, delicious, luscious, scrumptious, and sensuous.
Sweeterlicious also conveys fun, love, passion, pleasure, purpose, harmony, laughter, satisfaction, and connection with yourself, other people and your higher power.

Connie Bennett is a former sugar-addicted journalist and the author of two bestselling books, Beyond Sugar Shock and Sugar Shock, Connie’s sour-to-sweet story began in 1998, when she quit sugar on doctor’s orders. Her doctor blamed all 44 of her strange ailments (baffling brain fog, ferocious fatigue, horrible headaches, embarrassing mood swings, severe PMS, etc.) on her habit of eating hard candies, red licorice, refined crackers, and other quickie carbs. While releasing her sugar and carb addiction, Connie created many simple tactics to make letting go of sweets an easy, exciting adventure.
Since 2001, Connie has been helping thousands of sugar addicts worldwide through her Sugar Freedom Now Course, speaking, and coaching (she is a certified life coach, certified health coach and EFT practitioner). She founded this Sugar Shock Blog on June 7, 2005.
