For those of you who haven't heard me on Health Talk, this radio show is the longest-running M.D.-hosted health show on syndicated radio.

The show is a mixed format of call-ins, guests and features. Listeners can pose their real-life health dilemmas to Dr. Hoffman, who offers the best of both worlds: he is well-versed in both conventional medicine and natural therapies.

He intersperses the show with entertaining segments on medical breakthroughs, health-related stories of the day, critical reviews of medical reports in the media and personal anecdotes from his real-life experiences with patients and as a health-conscious baby-boomer. Listeners call in from all over the U.S. and Canada.

Dr. Hoffman prides himself in seldom getting stumped—in the rare instance where an answer is not on the tip of his tongue, he will research it and later weigh in with helpful explanations and suggestions.

If you missed our interview, you can catch it tomorrow online here.

Again, if you're among the first two listeners to visit here, post your comment here to win a book now.

  1. I’m eager to read your book. I’ve struggled with this issue for a long time and am hoping to learn new approaches/tools to break my sugar habit. Thank you.

  2. Hi I learned a lot about sugar dependency from your appearance on Dr. H. and would love to have a copy of your book. keep up the good work.

  3. Love hearing you! Always need reminders especially when extra stressed as mom, teacher, college student. I hope to pass on the message to my young students!!!

  5. Sugar has been the monkey on my back since childhood. I never realized it until I was so deeply addicted then I made the worst mistake of all by switching to “sugar-free” and “diet” sweeteners and soft drinks which were even a worse trap. Finally gave up on the artificial sweeteners about 6 months ago and it’s a struggle every day.

  6. Great inspiring discussion with Dr. Hoffman! I look forward to winning the battle against sugar cravings via your recommendations!

  7. Connie Bennett I was very inspired and motivated by what you said on the Dr. Ron Hoffman program tonight about “sugar” and how the American people need to be shocked away from it. You also offered [great information about] your ten-year experience, natural supplements and your book “SUGAR SHOCK” to assist them on their to living a better and healthier life. I can relate because I have a whole host of health problems and listening to you both is all I needed to help me get started.THANKS SO MUCH!!!

  8. YOUR TALK ON DR. HOFFMAN’S PROGRAM WAS VERY INTERESTING. I ALWAYS CHECKED FOODS FOR THE SODIUM BUT NOT THE SUGAR. DID NOT KNOW THAT SUGAR WAS IN ALL THOSE FOODS. NOW I KNOW WHY I CANNOT GET RID OF THE FAT AROUND MY MIDDLE EVEN THOUGH I GO TO AEROBICS AND WALK. FROM NOW ON I WILL HAVE TO CHECK ALL FOODS FOR THE SUGAR CONTENT.
    THANKS FOR ALL THE INFORMATION.

  9. I have been listening to your show both online and Dr.Hoffman’s show. Our elected representatives should have a copy of your shows and then make them mandatory that they are taught in schools to students of all ages. I would like o copy of your interesting book.

  10. It was awesome to hear you talk with Dr. Hoffman and the radio family last night. You inspired me to re-visit my relationship with sugar. I plan on starting a 40-day sugar reduction plan. Thank you. Mary

  11. Wow, how I could relate to all of your comments about the effects that sugar has on one’s body, mind and spirit! About 14 years ago, I was diagnosed with a tremendous overgrowth of candida, which put a halt to my addiction to sugar. I have always been thin so enjoying plenty of sugar fixes didn’t show on the outside. I surely have felt much healthier in every way since becoming more educated about natural health.
Heartfelt thanks for your delightful interview. I am going to enjoy listening to your Gab shows.
    Sincerely, Lori xox

  12. Since I started eliminating sugar, my weight has dropped considerably..I have to gain weight-how do I add the weight -without the sugar…my wgt is 103-104-I would like to gain at least 4-5 pds..I work out at the gym…and eat very well…

  13. Today makes day 61 sugar free and I’m amazed at my ability to maintain this practice. Most people think I’m a little crazy when I mention it – so I’ve stopped. I just say no thank you to the offers for all my old addictions. I realize that the sugar rush is biological but also psychological. Sometimes I experience moments when I want “something” and before I’d answer that call with sugar. Now I answer with a walk or moment of quiet or a drink of water. I have so much more energy and can’t believe I’ve lived so long operating in such a state. Keep up the good work.
