Do you spend much time outdoors in nature going hiking, gardening in your back yard, tromping through meadows or playing in fields with your dogs?
If so, please pay attention!
What’s more, are you plagued by mysterious ailments such as overpowering fatigue, ferocious headaches, difficulty concentrating, muscle aches, forgetfulness and other baffling symptoms?
I don’t mean to scare you, but you may be suffering from Lyme disease and/or a co-infection, which are transmitted by small ticks and which you could get without knowing it.
Learn more about this fast-growing infectious disease on my Gab With the Gurus Radio Show this Tuesday. Here’s the direct URL.
This should be a fantastic, enlightening show, where you’ll learn more about the symptoms, how to prevent this disease and how to treat it, etc. My guests — all renowned experts in the field — will be:
- Science journalist Pamela Weintraub, author of the fabulous new book, Cure Unknown: Inside the Lyme Epidemic
- Patricia (Pat) Smith, president of the national Lyme Disease Association
- Bernard D. Raxlen, M.D., known for his treatment of Lyme disease as a complex infectious-neuro-immune phenomenon.
- Steven J. Bock, M.D., acclaimed for his complementary approach towards Lyme disease
- Dr. Qingcai Zhang, recognized for his Chinese medicine approach, including acupuncture and herbs, to treat Lyme disease
Later, I’ll post further info about these amazing guests. Right now, I’m feeling pretty awful and must lie down.
You may have read my previous, reluctant "confession" that I’m one of the 200,000 to 1.7 million people (depending on whose figures you believe), afflicted from this tick-transmitted disease. But I’m doing my darndest to beat it!
(Added later.)
This just in. The following people also will apear on the second half of the Gab With the Gurus Radio Show about Lyme disease:
- Renowned actress, playwright and author Rebecca Wells, acclaimed for her novels, Divine Secrets of Ya-Ya Sisterhood, Ya-Yas in Bloom and Little Altars Everywhere. Unfortunately, Wells is one of a number of authors, which one event dubbed as "Liberati With Lyme." (Please read Rebecca’s poignant story about how Lyme robbed her of health. This brought tears to my eyes.)
- Kris Newby, senior producer of the eye-opening documentary, "Under Our Skin: The Untold Story of Lyme Disease," described as "an infectious film about microbes, money and medicine." See video clips here. (Also check out the amazing resource list posted on the film’s website.)

Note from Connie: I’m confused by your comment, Ron. I did say that I’ve been diagnosed recently with Lyme disease, which a darn tick gave to me without my knowledge. That’s what inspired me to give the radio show about Lyme disease — so that I could help others avoid my pain. Connie

Note from Connie: I guess you didn’t read my other posts. I have been diagnosed with Lyme disease. Did you suffer from it yourself?
