Do You Crave Sugar? Or a Life that’s Sweeterlicious?

Posted on

Invitation from Connie. Join the conversation. What does sweeterlicious mean to you?
As you may already know, most sugaraholics or carb junkies—the millions battling sugar shock—are leading “lives of quiet desperation” as Henry David Thoreau put it years ago.
Woo Hoo!As we enter a new year, I invite you to realize: Are you, like mitllions, now enduring a life of quiet sugar desperation because of your over-consumption of what I call culprit carbs?
Are you also enduring a life filled with persistent depression and overwhelming anxiety, both of which can be triggered by eating too many sweets and refined carbs?
Thankfully, in 1998, I left behind my sugar-shock gloom by quitting sweets and quickie carbs on doctor’s orders due to my many health woes.
Ever since letting go of sweets 15-plus years ago, it’s been an honor and pleasure to help sugar addicts and carb addicts release their over-attachment to dangerous sweets and such rapidly processed carbohydrates as chips, popcorn, and French fries,
Sure enough, as people have been letting go of their sugar or carb addiction, their dreary, dismal, bleak feelings disappear, too. What a joy to witness!
With the new year here, I invite you to consider turning your back on these dangerous carbs, which make you fat, sluggish, and unhealthy.
When you say “No, thank you” to these quickie carbs, you’ll get more sweetness, juiciness, or joy into your life.
In other words, when you say “Yes, please” to real, live, organic foods, you”re paving the way to get a life that’s sweeterlicious. By that I mean sweeter, delicious, luscious, scrumptious, and sensuous.
Sweeterlicious also conveys fun, love, passion, pleasure, purpose, harmony, laughter, satisfaction, and connection with yourself, other people and your higher power.

Do You Crave Sugar or Sweetness?

Posted on

Whenever I coach sugar addicts, I find that there’s something missing from their lives.
In other words, when sugar “calls out” to them, that’s really not what they need.
Sweet snack foods don’t fill you up in a substantive way. Instead, they deplete you and send you into a downwards spiral.
Rather, you — and most sugar addicts — need something else that’s more nourishing and nurturing.
So I inviteyou to think: What do you most crave? Sugar or genuine sweetness in your life?
Read my article on the Hay House Heal Your Life website to discover 3 tips on how to make your life sweeterlicious (my word for sweeter, delicious, scrumptious, luscious, and sensuous.)

It’s my pleasure to introduce you to Cartoon Connie.
In this cartoon, “That Was Then… This is Now…,” you’ll get a glimpse at how sugar turned me into a Sugar Shrew..
Please bear in mind that this isn’t someone I know anymore.
This is the discouraged, depressed, frustrated Connie of 1998 — the Connie, who was besieged by by a whopping 44 ailments, including heart palpitations, difficulty concentrating, and mood swings.
But kicking sweets turned my life around.
By licking all those processed sweets, life turned sweeterlicious (my word for sweeter, delicious, luscious, scrumptious, and sensuous).
Connie’s Story: That Was Then… This is Now…
C1_jekyll-hyde_72dpiI hope this cartoon entertains you in its outrageous, exaggerated version of my once, sugar-addicted reality.
Of courrse, I didn’t gorge on red licorice while cowering in closets, but this silly image certainly captures the flavor of my previous addiction. (Pun intended.)
Anyhow, now that I’ve kicked sugar, I urge others to discover the power of living sugarfree..
The transformation was extraordinary!
Now, I urge you to find the humor in your sugar addiction.
When you see the absurdity of your sugar addiction, it can help you to break free so you can get a life that’s sweeterlicious — that’s my word for sweeter, delicious, luscious, scrumptuous and sensuous.
