SUGAR SHOCK! Cited in Numerous McClatchy Newspapers, Thanks to Joan Obra of the Fresno Bee

SUGAR SHOCK! has been featured in a number of newspapers around the country, thanks to Joan Obra of the Fresno Bee, a McClatchy Newspaper.

As I noted in this post on this SUGAR SHOCK! Blog, on January 15, Joan wrote an article about alternative sweeteners,  entitled "The sweet life:  Sugar substitutes are more plentiful than ever, but don’t overdo them."

Joan quoted me several times in her story, which also included this photo and caption below.

Then, as Google has been alerting me, after Joan’s article ran, it was picked up by a number of other McClatchy Newspapers, including the following:

Connecticut Post, "The sweet life: Sugar substitutes plentiful, but don’t overdo them," Feb. 4, 2008

Commercial Appeal, Memphis, Tenn., "Health food stores offer mix of sweeteners, but they’re not all alike," Jan. 28, 2008

Journal Star, Lincoln, Nebraska, "You can be sweet — but not too sweet," Feb. 6, 2008

The Pueblo Chieftain, Pueblo, Colorado, "Sugar substitutes plentiful – but don’t overdo them," Jan. 30, 2008

The Telegraph, Macon, Georgia, "The sweet life: Sugar substitutes are plentiful," Jan. 30, 2008

Seacoastonline (New Hampshire and Southern Maine), "How sweet: A primer on the new sugar substitutes," Jan. 23, 2008

Ledger-Enquirer, Columbus, Georgia, "The Sweet Life: Sugar substitutes are more plentiful than ever, but don’t overdo them," Jan. 30, 2008

Merced Sun-Star, Merced, California:  "Sugar substitutes are more plentiful than ever, but don’t overdue them," Jan. 23, 2008.

Juneau Empire, Juno, Alaska: "The sweet and sour of sugar substitutes," Jan. 24, 2008

Media College Publisher: The Daily Campus, Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas, Jan. 23, 2008

As you’ll read, I’m not a fan of alternate sweeteners for a number of reasons.

Thanks, Joan, for your informative article, which aims to present all sides of the subject.
