Franken Sugar to Come From Genetically Modifed Beets

As I warned previously here on this Sugar Shock Blog, sugar from genetically modified (FM) beets is quickly becoming a reality.

This year, those fake beets are being grown commercially.

What’s more, soon, farmers across the U.S. will begin planting Monsanto’s Roundup Ready sugar beet, genetically engineered for resistance to Monsanto’s toxic herbicide glyphosate, as Mike Adams of Natural News reminds us.

But the problem, as TreeHugger.com points out, is that food labels won’t alert you to this fact.

I invite you to join Citizens for Health now to help stop these Genetically Modified Beets.

You can also learn more at Don’t Plant GMO Beets, which is a project of the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility.

As if eating sugar isn’t dangerous enough!

So sugar addicts out there, you have yet another reason to avoid sugar altogether.
