Wow! Talk about e-mails!
Readers have been writing me quite a bit since I began admitting to having gotten Lyme disease from a tick I never even saw and since I hosted a radio show focusing on this debilitating illness.
Although recently, I was saddened by one lone e-mail from a furious reader, who took me to task for talking about Lyme disease and not sugar, mostly, I’ve been receiving lots of e-mails supporting my recent move in this other non-sugary direction.
People, who’ve been the victims of Lyme disease themselves, are writing. Folks, who used to have Lyme disease, are weighing in. Readers, who have wild, but cautionary tales, are touching base.
Other readers have been kind enough to wish me a speedy recovery. (Good news is that, much as this is happening more slowly than I would like, I am doing better than a week or even two weeks ago. Yeah!)
Thank you all for your comments!
Anyhow, I just thought I’d share a few.
Here’s Darlene from Oklahoma:
"I have been receiving your messages for some time now, but your recent one in which you mentioned that you have contracted Lyme disease caught my eye. I have been diagnosed recently (May 08) — apparently I have had Lyme disease for over 10 years. I am treating my disease through the Marshall Protocol by taking Benicar and pulsing antibiotics on a regular schedule. I need more information on the part of the discussion about malaria. If you could send me in the right direction, I’d be grateful. Thanks, Darlene
PS I LOVED the YaYa books, I need to get the newest one."
Maria remarked:
"…[Your show] was very informative and really eye opening what you have gone through since July 4th!!!! Bless you, despite all your physical ailments, for being so tenacious and researching and getting guests/experts to educate people regarding Lyme disease."
More comments later. Lyme-triggered fatigue is getting to me.
