  1. On October 25, 2008, I stopped eating flour and sugar. I realized that I was addicted to flour and sugar and both were ruining my life. I’d been a binge eater and addicted to sugar my entire life. Since then, I’ve lost 30 pounds and seldom go a day without someone complimenting me or asking how I did it. (I’m 6’ tall and weigh 169 lbs. I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in.)
With God’s help, I’ll never eat flour or sugar again. (One day at a time). I believe that 75% of Americans are addicted to flour and sugar. The weight epidemic and obesity epidemic are the results of a society hooked on these two drugs. For many, possibly most, moderation is not the answer. I repeat, MODERATION IN MOST CASES IS NOT THE ANSWER. You wouldn’t tell an alcoholic to “just have a few” or a smoker to “just smoke one a day” would you? But, there are countless weight programs that tout moderation as a solution. It’s too late for moderation. Our country is hooked.
It’s no accident that obesity has tripled in the last thirty years. This is the exact period when agriculture, specifically flour, corn, and wheat production, in America has flourished the most. The increase in production of flour and sugar has gone hand in hand with the weight epidemic and obesity. I am suggesting that we call sugar and flour what they really are: addictive drugs.
I hope that in your position, you might consider joining me in my fight against flour and sugar. If you’ve ever been to a CEA meeting (Compulsive Eater’s Anonymous), you’ll see that flour and sugar are recognized as addictive evils. Members of CEA are never allowed to eat flour or sugar again. I’ve been to such meetings. I’ve been abstinent for 16 months now. (Thank God!)
Join me in my fight against flour and sugar and thank you so much for your fight against obesity! Join me in the fight against food addiction! I’d like to at least suggest to people that they may be addicted to flour and sugar let them make up their own minds. We need to get the word out. Think about it: Parents may be unknowingly addicting their own children and setting them up for a life of obesity. I hope to one day see an obese person on the TV show Intervention. Let’s intervene now!
    Sincerely,
