I just had the pleasure and honor of being interviewed for a full hour by the charming, caring, charismatic, Boston-based radio host Frankie Boyer on the Frankie Boyer Show.
Usually, when I give radio interviews, they come and go quickly and I only can give cursory comments and then, I hope, the radio host will send people to this SUGAR SHOCK! Blog or website.
But Frankie — who turned away from sugar herself years ago — evidently cares greatly about her loyal audiences and truly seeks to improve the quality of their lives.
For this reason, I imagine and the fact that she feels strongly about the dangers of sugars and refined carbs, Frankie actually had me on for a full hour!
Reading from my book Sugar Shock!, she outlined some of the many ailments you could get from your sugar habit; she asked me to discuss in detail the incident(s) that I recount in Chapter 1, when my boyfriend Mark and I were dining in bliss (we thought), only to have my sugar-charged reaction afterwards; she quizzed me about what kinds of benefits you could expect if you cut back on those culprit carbs, etc.
All in all, it was a really fun hour. Thank you, Frankie, for having me on your show. You are an inspiring, motivating dynamo, and you have a talent for drawing out guests (namely me, in this instance) and in urging your listeners to live better, happier, healthier lives.
