SUGAR SHOCK!: How Sweets and Simple Carbs Can Derail Your Life—and How You Can Get It Back on Track by Connie Bennett, with Dr. Stephen Sinatra
If you live in or near New York City, come meet me this Saturday, March 10 for my SUGAR SHOCK! book signing and chat at 4:15 p.m. at the wonderful Border’s bookstore at Columbus Circle. Get more info here.
We’re expecting — OK, "hoping for" more aptly describes my sentiments — lots of people this Saturday, as on Jan. 6, when some 200 people showed up for my first book signing.
Perhaps you’re wondering why you should take time out of your schedule to attend my SUGAR SHOCK! book signing. Here are some reasons why:
-
* You get to have some fun! Seriously, you’ll hear me read a little from my book. For instance, you’ll get to laugh at me and my "Ex-Sugar Shrew!" days. You’ll also get to listen to a little about how we’re constantly bombarded and besieged by sugary images and enticements.
- * You get to participate in some laughter-producing, empowering exercises, which could help you to get ready to face your sugar issues. (Yes, on Jan. 6, people who cracking up and enjoying confronting their sugar habit.)
- * You get to meet wonderful, budding or current holistic health counselors from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I studied last year. (Actually, that day I’ll be speaking for five minutes before some 600 current IIN students, and we’re hoping that many of them will take the escalator or elevator downstairs after class gets out, to attend my book signing.)
By the way, for those of you who are eager to find a cutting-edge integrative physician in New York City, you’ll have a chance to do so at my book signing. The acclaimed Jill Baron, M.D. — who just happens to be one amazing doctor and, I probably should reveal, a good friend of mine — will be introducing me. Cool, eh?
Hope to see you this Saturday March 10!
If you’re planning on attending my March 10 book signing and chat, please note that I really could use some help. So if you’d like to help out that day, please let me know ASAP. If you would like to do so for an hour or two, I have some gifts for you.
