A fascinating study from Sweden suggests that restricting carbs may be the best way to manage diabetes and reduce the need for meds.
This is big news, as far as I’m concerned, and I’m thrilled to find yet another research team coming to these conclusions.
See the WebMD article and UPI piece about this compelling research.
No time to write more about it now but will discuss it further later.

I wholeheartedly agree! Restricting or eliminating certain kinds of carbohydrates has helped me to lose over 60 pounds and bring my Type 2 Diabetes to its knees. The only category of carbohydrate that I do not limit is low-glycemic vegetables like lettuce, green beans, broccoli, etc. (Although I still practice portion control regardless of what I am eating because that also plays a part in my blood sugar control.) Any carbohydrate not in the low-glycemic category is limited or eliminated from my diet based on just how much it effects my blood sugar.
