I’m excited.
Jodie Foster is directing the dramatic movie, "Sugar Kings," for Universal Pictures, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The two-time Academy Award-winning actress also may star in the film, which is based on the well-researched, fascinating Vanity Fair article, "In the Kingdom of Big Sugar," by Marie Brenner.
The film will follow a budding lawyer who works with a public interest attorney to help exploited migrant workers.
No word yet on when production is expected to start.
Isn’t this cool that we’re going to get a behind-the-scenes, cinematic look at the sugar industry?
