Save the date!

I just received confirmation that on Tues., October 30 at 2:30 EST, Dr. Mehmet Oz has agreed to appear on Stop SUGAR SHOCK! Radio Show.

This will be a very special show, because I will not be interviewing Dr. Oz by myself.

Dr. Stephen Sinatra, contributing author to SUGAR SHOCK!, will join me, and the two of us together will talk with Dr. Oz.

The idea for this special show came about, because Stephen (that’s Dr.
Sinatra) and I thought it would be really fun to turn the tables,
because a few months ago, Dr. Oz interviewed both Dr. Sinatra and I for Oprah & Friends Radio to talk about our book.

(It was such fun to watch the two doctors show each other such respect and admiration. Plus, it was a real treat to watch them share ideas and medical tips on nutrients, etc.)

Of course, on Oct. 30, Dr. Sinatra and I will do our best to ask Dr. Oz questions to help you lose weight and achieve better health. (We’ll have lots of questions planned, but you’re invited to submit your questions, too.)

During our interview with Dr. Oz, we’ll talk a lot about his new book, YOU: Staying Young.

Quite coincidentally, I asked for an interview on Oct. 30 not knowing that Dr. Oz’s new book, which he is co-authoring again with Dr. Michael Roizen, is scheduled to come off the press this week — specifically, a day later, October 31. (Amazon has the pub date listed as Oct. 30.) Great timing, eh?

So you, dear readers of this SUGAR SHOCK! Blog, get to be among the first to hear Dr. Oz talk about his new book. Sign up for updates here about the radio show.

  1. I would very much like to write Dr. Oz and ask him a few questions that would help me as I change my eating habits to better my life. I have several health problems that are making it painful to exercise and walk so I really need to pay attention to what I eat and achieve a healthy balance (since so much of the diet information I have read is extreme and contadictory to another set of healthy eating rules). My doctors won’t address my weight; it’s more important that I get these other health issues under control first and not incur the stress of dieting. I am trying to eat healthier by eliminating corn syrup and trans fat but I know I could be doing more but I can’t undermine the medical issues I am dealing with. Common sense tells me there has to be a balance, I could be doing more. I would very much like a postal address I could write him and summarize my situation and maybe he could clear up some of the confusion I am having about nutrition.
Note from Connie: Joy, just imagine how many millions of people want to contact Dr. Oz just like you! Besides, these busy doctors just cannot answer everyone. Nor can they give advice for free. Your best bet, in my opinion, is to find a doctor who “gets” it — who is nutrition savvy, etc. See the article on my website, /how_to_find_an_/
Hope this helps you. And good luck! Connie
