I’m so excited! Tomorrow’s my big ride all throughout Manhattan, thanks to the 18th Annual NYC Century Bike Tour.
Not sure how far I’ll go — debating between 15 and 35 miles (not ready for 100 yet) but I’m going to challenge myself.
I’m also amused and pleased because I very easily coerced — OK, convinced without much effort — a new friend to join me in this “exhilarating day of riding, socializing and exploring.” (Well, that’s how the brochure puts it! Which I’m sure it will be.)
Need some sleep before my long day!
By the way, for those of you still caught up in a sugar habit, it’s really absolutely no fun compared to the joy, thrill and excitement of a hobby you absolutely adore. Bicycling gives me way way way more joy than eating sweets ever did. (Actually, sugar never ever brought me joy — more like torture). Tomorrow’s ride will be sweet indeed!
