Candy cane bagels? Oh goodness, what will they think of next?
Thanks to Slashfood for alerting us to this new quickie-carb concoction from Noah’s Bagels and Einstein Bros. Bagels.
You certainly won’t catch me buying or eating any of these red-and-white refined "treats," which are topped with powdered sugar.
Though you do have to admit that as bagels go, this is a clever way to lure people into the fold.
Ah to what extent these companies have to go to beef up sales and to grab you as their next loyal customer.
Frankly, I’d rather see a new fiber-filled, whole-grain bagel using no honey or sugar. Now that, in my book, would be progress.
