Men: Stress Can Harm You But You Can Learn to Manage It

If you’re a man — or even a woman — you’re undoubtedly facing all kinds of stressful situations. Of course, you know best what they are.

Learn about stress and how it can hurt you and how you can rise above it by reading this excellent, well-researched article in the Dallas Morning News from Nancy Churnin.

Indeed, as Churnin tells us, "About 40 percent of American men and women are concerned about their stress levels, and about 34 percent describe themselves as `routinely overwhelmed by stress,’ according to a May survey by Mental Health America, a nonprofit organization in Alexandria, Va., that is dedicated to helping people live mentally healthy lives."

When you’re done reading, applaud reporter Churnin for her thoughtful, helpful piece, which, while it focuses on men and their difficulties managing stress, also will speak to overwhelmed, stressed- out women.

I’m glad I read this article after taking a rigorous core flow yoga class, which left me feeling incredly calm, centered and rejuvenated despite the plethora of things to accomplish! (Indeed, I think I just hit upon a wonderful way to manage my stress. I’m just getting into yoga now, after hearing one person after another rave about its numerous benefits.)
