My 8-Year Anniversary of Kicking Sugar for Health, Happiness & Sanity

I’ll be darned. I completely forgot to pat myself on the back!

So engrossed was I in doing final editing for my upcoming book, SUGAR SHOCK!, that I totally ignored the very day in which my kick-sugar work began!

Yep. Yesterday marketed a mammoth day for me. I quit sugar 8 years ago — April 15, 1998. On that momentous occasion, I turned my life around.

That was the day I began my incredible journey to transform myself from a lifeless, moody, depressed, irritable, headache-ridden, unpredictable bitch — plagued by 44 symptoms — to an energetic, enthusiastic, gregarious, creative, sweet (I hope!), optimistic, calm-headed, joy-filled woman with a zest and spunk for life.

April 15, 1998 — and the months that followed — was when I first:

  • Conceived my upcoming book, SUGAR SHOCK!
  • Realized that I’m not alone — rather that I’m in the company of millions, whose lives are being destroyed by their sugar habit and resulting see-sawing blood sugar fluctuations.
  • Laid the groundwork to help millions of sugar addicts and baffled hypoglycemics, pre-diabetics, and diabetics around the world.

So, in honor of my 8 years off sugar, I do hope you’ll allow me to engage in some self congratulatory kudos!

Happy Kick-Sugar Birthday to Me!
