Institute for Integrative Nutrition Features My Book SUGAR SHOCK! And Me in The April Newsletter

I’m so honored and thrilled. The April newsletter of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition — where I graduated from last year — features my book SUGAR SHOCK! Not only that, but it also spotlights me as a success story. How utterly exciting!

It’s just such a kick to be cited in this manner by the e-zine from this wonderful, cutting edge school. This item, by the way, came about because of Jen over at IIN and her very hard work. Thanks, Jen!

Here’s the applicable excerpt from the newsletter:

  1. It doesn’t appear that a change in diet alone can cure the damage done by long-term high-sugar intake. Frequently, the body is compromised by various forms of fungus and candida, and enzyme activity is depleted. Does your treatment plan include other things than dietary modification?
Note from Connie: I’m not a doctor so I don’t have a treatment plan. But I do have a 21-day program that can help people focus on various factors, not just diet. Also, if you have sugar issues, it’s helpful to work with a nutrition-savvy doctor to help you clear other health issues such as candida that may have been caused by excessive sugar consumption. By the way, my book SUGAR SHOCK! includes info about some supplements that may help a person kicking sugar, as well as some practical pointers to kick. Hope that helps.
